The course will formalize interdisciplinary work on energy issues, and will provide students with first-hands research experience, writing practice in group settings, networking, and development of presentation skills. Additional info:Participants will be graduate students with energy-related coursework, work and research experience. The course will solicit clients from companies, governmental entities, and nonprofits to provide real-life problems for students to solve. Clients will present the energy- and environment-related issue they face and conduct in-class discussions on the topic. The students will then spend approximately half of the semester in interdisciplinary teams conducting research, developing a case write-up and proposing an innovative solution to the presented issue. Each team will produce one case over the course of the semester. |
