Mobilizing HealthTotal cost to complete: $8,000 Donations to date: $1,750 Remaining funds needed: $6,250 21.88% funded Date needed by: May 30, 2010 Mobilizing Health: Udaipur, Rajasthan (India)Mobilizing Health is a service group whose purpose is to increase the access to emergency health care for underprivileged populations through the use of cell phones. We also aim to educate the people on how to diagnose and prevent the most common health issues in poverty-stricken areas. In the future, our plan is to expand our impact to other parts of India, and even other parts of the world. Support our cause! Project mission:1. Connect populations without access to emergency care to hospitals through mobile technology. 2. To build a successful pilot project for the summer of 2009 where we will donate cell phones to 50 villages in the state of Rajasthan in India and connect them to the doctors at the Narayan Sewa Santhan Hospital. Potential impact:The 50 cell phones will connect 14,000-20,000 villagers to the hospital. These villagers currently do not have access to emergency medical care, and we believe this project can potentially save thousands of lives over the course of the next few years. Required resources:
