The Global Micro-Clinic Project: Middle East, Africa, South Asia, Eastern Europe, and

Project Leader: Daniel Zoughbie, Founder and Executive Director

Daniel Zoughbie is the founder and executive director of the Global
Micro-Clinic Project (GMCP), an organization dedicated to providing
access to health care in the developing world. Zoughbie's research
includes several published articles and reports on the Middle East,
where he served as a student journalist for the University of
California News Center. Additionally, he has researched the University
of California's impact on the state and national economies. Zoughbie
is actively involved in serving his various communities and has
participated in or served as a director for several non-profit
organizations and public service projects.

Zoughbie received his BA in Urban Studies (2006) with a minor in
Middle Eastern Studies (Phi Beta Kappa and Highest Honors) from the
University of California, Berkeley where he studied as both a Haas and
Strauss Scholar. He has received many honors and awards; most notably,
he was named recipient of the prestigious Marshall Scholarship (2006)
for graduate studies at the University of Oxford.
