Shuar Health Project - Safe Water & Sanitation: Ecuadorian Amazon

Project Leader: Sophia Horiuchi & Erika Garcia

Sophia Horiuchi has been with the Shuar Health Project since the taking the DeCal in the spring of 2007. First, beginning as the Coordinator of the Research and Development Committee, she became the Project Coordinator in the spring of 2008. Sophia is majoring in Public Health and will graduate in May of 2010.

Erika Garcia joined the Shuar Health Project in the fall of 2007, starting out as the Coordinator for the Education Committee. She also became the Project Coordinator in the spring of 2008. Erika graduated with a major in Conservation and Resource Studies in May 2009. She will begin an MPH program at UC Berkeley in the fall of 2009.
