Wellness Initiative

To provide free, quality counseling and psychiatric and mental health promotion services to the homeless and low-income population of Alameda County. Through the collaboration of mental health professionals and students from various disciplines, we will deliver holistic care that empowers and educates clients rather than just mitigating their symptoms. CAL Alcohol Consumption: Policy, Awareness, Risk Reduction

**PRIMARY GOAL** To promote a safe and healthy community for UC Berkeley college students in the south-campus area by reducing high risk drinking as well as its associated negative consequences. **SECONDARY GOALS** -Produce professional materials that highlight community alcohol laws, police procedures, student rights, and ways to prevent citation and host a safe party -Increase awareness of the recent Social Host Ordinance among UC Berkeley students -Reduce the incidence of high-risk drinking at off-campus parties by 5% over the next 2 years -Conduct surveys and focus groups with our peers and local neighborhood associations in an effort to evaluate impact -Continue efforts to improve our methods of non-intrusive data collection (for monitoring the environment at college parties and local bars) over the next 2 years Learn more

OutLet LGBTQ Online Peer Advising

- To provide a much needed online resource to UC Berkeley students. - To connect struggling and isolated students to informed and knowledgeable peers. - To empower lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and questioning (LGBTQ) students. - To help make UC Berkeley a safer, more welcoming space for LGBTQ students. - To spread information and valuable safe resources to those students who may benefit from them.
